Three Steps - Design Process for Dave Konkol Custom Homes  

At Dave Konkol Homes we know that building a custom home provides a unique opportunity for our clients. We would like to guide you through the design process of this endeavor to create the home that reflects your unique desires and needs. Ultimately, our goal is to make this design process efficient, enjoyable and expeditious for you.  

There are three easy steps that will prepare you for your first design meeting :

Step One

Each participant should begin by taking a blank piece of paper and making a dream list of everything that is desired in your new home. We would encourage you to disregard your thoughts of cost or priority of selections. This is your “Dream List”.

Step Two

Once you have independently completed your lists, you should each prioritize in groups of five.

Begin by assuming you could only implement five items from your dream list into your home.

Then scan the list to determine the next five most desirable items and exclusively prioritize these items. Continue this process until all items are ranked. We recognize that a definite order is difficult to determine from the onset, but completing this process will assist us in being more effective in designing your home. We have provided sample lists and for you to review.

Step Three

Combine your design lists and insert into provided form attached. You will then need to fax this completed list to Dave Konkol at 407/645-4367 or e-mail directly to dave@davekonkolhomes.com.

After careful review of your selections by Dave Konkol and David Runnels our staff architect, you will be contacted to set-up your first architectural design session. It is important for you to bring any plans, sketches or surveys to this initial meeting. This will aid in the designing of your new home.
